The
retreat house of H.E. Dangqu Denpa at Wara Dechen Mountain with funerary
stupa inside, storing his body relics.
The stupa was destroyed during the
period of Cultural Revolution. Fortunately, most of the body relics were
collected by local devotees in secret. After reconstruction of Wara Dechen
Monastery the majority of the relics were given back to the monastery. But
the return of His Eminence’s skull was delayed.

The
monk collecting the skull of His Eminence expressed his deathbed to offer
Rinpoche the skull. On the right day for the consecration of Thousand-Dakini
Palace, the skull was sent to Wara Dechen Monastery, which was taken as a
very auspicious omen. After identification Rinpoche confirmed the truth of
the skull and bestowed some precious blessing objects on the collector’s
family as a reward. |
