Kuixing Temple, a bodimandala of Avalokitesvara, is located at Kuifeng Mountain, southwest of Yongchun County, Fujian Province China. It was built in Sui Dynasty (1,300 Ad) and rebuilt in Song Dynasty (1,000 Ad).

The restoration project of the temple’s main hall began in spring of 2003. Rinpoche was invited to give advice on its design. According to his pure vision Rinpoche suggested that an Avalokitesvara statue be enshrined in the hall.

The 7.3-meter-high statue of Avalokitesvara enshrined in the hall is the biggest red copper Buddha statue in Tibetan Buddhism style around China. Rinpoche gave profound advice on its design and engaged professional handicraftsmen to make it according to the traditional Tibetan Buddhism ritual. It took one year and three months to complete the whole project.

Rinpoche presided over the insertion ritual for the statue. Precious relics, lineage gurus’ supreme blessing pills and objects, and Great Scriputure(Tangyur and Gangyur) were inserted in the statue, which serves as an interdependent origination for spreading of exoteric and esoteric Buddha Dharma.
